Ribbon Cuttings and Open Houses

Whether recently joining the Chamber, opening a new branch, or celebrating a remodel, contact your Muncie Delaware County Chamber of Commerce to schedule a ribbon-cutting or grand opening ceremony at your place of business. There is no fee for this service. The only requirement is Chamber membership.

The Chamber Will:

1. Invite the membership and the Chamber committees through e-news
2. Bring a big red ribbon and the large scissors to the event.
3. Facilitate the ribbon cutting and photograph the ceremony.
4. Publish the photo in the Star Press and on the Chamber website.

You Should:

1. Plan a minimum of half an hour for the event.
2. Provide door prizes if desired, to draw attention and provide names for prospective customers.
3. Provide refreshments if desired (optional).
4. Contact the Mayor's office to invite city officials to the event.

Ribbon cuttings and grand opening ceremonies are an excellent way to draw additional people to your business location. Increase exposure to your company through the notification process and the photo that will be published in the Star Press VISIONS page and on this website.

Chamber After-Hours

Chamber After-Hours is a member-sponsored reception following the work day, usually beginning around 5:00pm. Whether celebrating a milestone, seeking greater exposure, or promoting a new product, an After-Hours event will draw people to your place of business. Fee: $300.

The Chamber Will:

1. Help you plan the event.
2. Invite the membership and Chamber committees through e-news, bulk mail, and newspaper.
3. Photograph the event.
4. Publish photos in The Star Press, on the Chamber website, and in the Chamber e-newsletter.

You Should:

1. Plan the event details
2. Provide refreshments (beverages: either cash bar or complimentary beverages acceptable).
3. Provide door prizes if desired.
4. Invite any individuals you want to make sure are contacted.

A Chamber After-Hours is a simple method of drawing attention and people to your business. The resulting publicity through the Star Press VISIONS page, the Chamber e-newsletter and on this website will increase exposure to your business.
