- Site Selectors Guild Honors Muncie-Delaware County Economic Development Alliance
The membership of the Site Selectors Guild (Guild) recently announced the winners of the first annual Excellence in Economic Development awards. The Guild awards recognize individuals and organizations for their contributions to investment attraction and job creation in their respective communities. The Muncie-Delaware County Economic Development Alliance (EDA) was recognized by the Guild for “Excellence in Economic Development at the County Level.”
- Economic Development Alliance Hosts Progress Rail Career Fair
The Muncie-Delaware County Economic Development Alliance will host a career fair on behalf of Progress Rail Manufacturing Corporation, a locomotive manufacturing plant in Muncie, Indiana. The fair will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2012 from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM in Delaware Hall at the Horizon Convention Center, 401 S. High St., Muncie, IN 47305.
- Muncie-Delaware County Economic Development Alliance is Reaccredited
The International Economic Development Council (IEDC) announces that the Muncie-Delaware County, Indiana Economic Development Alliance has once again been recognized as one of 29 economic development organizations accredited by IEDC as an Accredited Economic Development Organization (AEDO).
- Kermit USA Establishes US Headquarters in Muncie
A Turkey-based manufacturer of specialized roofing tile, Kermit USA, announced today that it will locate its USA headquarters and first North American manufacturing plant in Muncie-Delaware County, Indiana. The USA operations will be named Kermit USA. The company plans to invest $12 million dollars and create 70 new jobs over the next five years. Kermit USA will be the first tenant of the new Turkish Business Center (TBC) in Muncie, and will occupy approximately 44,000 square feet of the 63,750 square foot facility.
- Chamber Honors Business Leaders at Annual Dinner
The Muncie-Delaware County Chamber of Commerce held its annual meeting and awards dinner on October 27, 2011 with nearly 400 business and community leaders in attendance.
