Jarden Home Brands Selects Daleville for New Corporate Headquarters

Daleville, IN (July 9, 2007) - National consumer product leader Jarden Home Brands announced today its plans to relocate its corporate headquarters here, creating 42 new jobs with an annual payroll, including benefits, of nearly $3 million.

The manufacturer of Ball and Kerr canning supplies, Diamond plastic cutlery and Pine Mountain firelogs will invest more than $3 million to relocate its corporate headquarters from Muncie to Daleville later this year.

"Indiana's small towns continue to play a significant role in our continued economic comeback," said Nathan Feltman, Secretary of Commerce and chief executive officer of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation. "Companies around the globe are finding that our educated workforce and low cost of doing business make Indiana a great place to call home."

Jarden Home Brands, which currently employs more than 170 Hoosiers, will continue to operate its metal lid and canning component manufacturing facility in Muncie following the move of the corporate headquarters.

"Our business has grown and our mix of business has evolved with the addition of the firelogs businesses," said Kevin Brunory, executive vice president for Jarden Home Brands. "As our business grows and evolves, we believe that this move strengthens our ability to support our expectation for continued growth in the future."

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered the company up to $380,000 in performance-based tax credits and up to $130,000 in training grants based on Jarden Home Brands announced job creation plans. Delaware County government offered $100,000 in a cash incentive.

"We are very pleased and delighted about this announcement today," said John Brooke, President of the Delaware County Commissioners. "Not only has Delaware County retained the headquarters office but we are adding 42 new, high paying, especially skilled and trained jobs", added Brooke. "Jarden Home Brands is an important component and partner in our community. We are elated that they will remain here and continue to grow for many years to come", noted Brooke.

Jarden Home Brands is a subsidiary of Jarden Corporation, a publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol JAH.
