Muncie in Action Photo Contest
Grab your camera or sort through your albums for your favorite photos of the Muncie-Delaware County area and enter them into the Muncie in Action Photo Contest this summer. Photographers of every skill level are encouraged to participate.
“We’d love to see a range of photos capturing people enjoying our community as well as both our architectural and natural beauty,” said Traci Lutton, Project Manager for the Muncie-Delaware County Economic Development Alliance. “This call for photography is being held to grow and diversify the Chamber’s collection of high resolution photographs to help with our marketing efforts.”
Photographs will be accepted through July 16, 2010. Entries will be judged by the photo contest committee. Prizes will be awarded to the top three photographs that best reflect our area and that are mindful of our marketing message. Top prize will be $150, 2nd place – $75, and 3rd place – $50.
A list of desired photo subjects or categories is available on the website. All entries that are submitted to the contest will become the property of the Alliance and may be used in their press kit, website, advertising, printed brochures, flyers, etc. For more information, contact Traci Lutton at (765)751-9126 or by e-mail at tlutton@muncie.com.

Contest Rules
1. There is no cost to enter.
2. The contest will run from June 18, 2010 to July 16, 2010.
3. A completed, signed and dated Contest Entry Form must accompany each entry.
4. Requirements: Photos must be submitted on CD or by e-mail. Photographers may enter more than one image, all photos on one CD or in separate e-mails containing the photographer’s name and name of the image in the subject line. Photos should be a minimum of 300 dpi, submitted in TIF or PNG formats, with dimensions of 900 pixels wide and 700 pixels tall where possible. Color entries are encouraged, but black and white entries will also be accepted. See entry form for details about submission of entries.
5. Photos must be taken in the Muncie-Delaware County, Indiana area.
6. Each photograph that includes identifiable people must be accompanied by a separate, signed Photo Release from EACH identifiable person in the photo
All entries become the exclusive property the Muncie-Delaware County Economic Development Alliance, which retain the rights to unlimited use of entrant names and photos for, but not limited to, publicity, promotions and advertising purposes, without any compensation or photo credits to the photographer or subjects. The Muncie-Delaware County Economic Development Alliance and sponsoring agencies are not responsible for late, lost, damaged, destroyed or misdirected entries, or for miscommunications, misdirected transmissions or other errors of any kind whether human, mechanical or electronic. Prizes will be awarded only to entries that the contest judges deem worthy. Some prizes may not be awarded if no acceptable entries are received. All decisions are final. Any taxes or additional expenses associated with the awarded prizes are the responsibility of the winners. This contest is void wherever restricted or prohibited by state or local laws. By entering, participants release and hold harmless Muncie-Delaware County Economic Development Alliance and sponsoring agencies, as well as any directors, officers, employees or volunteers of the organizations from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the contest. If for any reason the contest is not capable of being conducted as planned, the Muncie-Delaware County Economic Development Alliance reserves the right, in their sole discretion, to cancel, modify, suspend or terminate the contest without notice to the entrants.
